The coronavirus pandemic is inspiring incredible creativity all around the world. From kids to grandparents, many of our Destination Imagination (DI) community members have been stepping up and using their creative problem-solving skills to address the challenges we’re facing. You’ve sewn face masks, 3D printed face shields and ear savers, donated food and supplies to those in need, and much more.
Destination Imagination has made the commitment to be here for you and your family as well. That’s why we are proud to provide you with resources like free Instant Challenges, STEAM activities and our brand new virtual Global Finals celebration to keep your family creating together.
Now, more than ever, young people need the skills that DI fosters.
So we are asking you to share the gift of creativity. On Tuesday, May 5, DI is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity to support communities and nonprofits around the world. Our goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of that day, so that more kids and their families have the courage and confidence to create.
Here’s how you can participate:
- Make Your Gift on or Before May 5. If you are able, please make a donation of any amount to the fundraiser on our Facebook page. You can even choose one DI Affiliate (U.S. state, country or Canadian province) to receive 5% of your donation. Every part of the DI organization could use a boost. After you make your donation, click here to select your Affiliate.
- Share Your DI Pride. Check Facebook on May 5 for our new profile picture frames. Then snap a selfie and post it on social media to let everyone that you’re a proud #DIDonor.
- Join the #DIDonor Team. Share this message with your family, friends and DI teammates to encourage your community to donate, too.
We know times are tough. If you are able to give, your support will help us build more resilient kids and communities. We hope you’ll join us for #GivingTuesdayNow.
