I’m writing to ask for your help.
2020 has been tough on people and I know that everyone has had to wear a lot of different hats this year. Here at Destination Imagination (DI), it has also been really tough as we continue to face the loss of a significant portion of our annual operating budget due to the pandemic.
However, through creative solutions and grit, our community came together in new ways. DI worked with our network of volunteers to put on a virtual Global Finals that lasted all summer with more than 600 teams from around the world solving a brand new Team Challenge that was specifically designed to keep kids creative and connected to one another while social distancing. Throughout it all, our team continued to release free Instant Challenges and creative stay-at-home activities to keep kids and families learning while completely re-imagining our 2020-21 Challenges so that they could be solved by teams that could not meet in person. It hasn’t been ideal, but we are a creative bunch!
Throughout all the hardship, the DI community has come together and generously given to help DI overcome the financial challenges it has faced so that we can continue to provide extraordinary experiences to children around the world. For that, we are so thankful for your support.
This holiday season, we are asking you to once again put on your ‘giving hat’ and make a donation to DI. Right now, we are working to overcome a challenging budget shortfall and anything you can contribute would be appreciated. As we leave 2020 behind, will you help us look towards the future by helping us raise the critical funding we need so that we can ensure that DI can continue to build resilient kids and communities?
