Destination Imagination (DI) is excited to welcome OK YOU, an organization dedicated to empowering teens to transform their mental health experiences into positive and healing actions, as one of our educational alliances. With 40% of teens reporting feelings of persistent sadness or hopelessness (CDC.org), it’s more important than ever to support student mental wellness. Together, DI and OK YOU aim to inspire and equip students with tools for creativity, teamwork, and inner well-being.
At Destination Imagination, students participating in our Challenge Experience discover a supportive and inclusive space to express themselves and belong. As part of this exciting educational alliance, we’ll collaborate to share resources on student mental wellness, creative activities, and educational opportunities that promote resilience and connection.

The OK Challenge: High School Students, Get Creative for Mental Health
Calling all high school students! Now through March 31, students across the United States can participate in the OK Challenge: Get Creative for Mental Health. This competition invites you to submit your ideas for sustaining inner well-being for a chance to win cash prizes and contribute to greater “OKness” in your communities. Submissions must fit on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper or digital document.
Finalists’ creative projects will be featured in an e-book designed to inspire youth and youth supporters nationwide. “The OK Challenge recognizes the knowledge that high school students carry,” says Hana Layson, Head of Youth and Educator Programs at the Portland Art Museum, “and provides a platform for them to share that knowledge.”
Visit OK Challenge to learn more and submit your entry. Don’t miss the submission deadline—midnight EST on March 31!
