From the Statue of Liberty to The Great Wall of China, there are many famous landmarks that attract people from all over the world. For this Challenge, we want kids to use their creativity, quick thinking, and problem-solving skills to recreate famous landmarks.
Challenge: Using materials you have on hand (see Materials list below for suggestions), create a famous landmark that is located outside of the country you reside. You may choose from the following landmarks or research other famous landmarks.
- The Golden Gate Bridge (U.S.)
- Eiffel Tower (France)
- Statue of Liberty (U.S.)
- The Great Wall of China (China)
- Stonehenge (England)
- Sydney Opera House (Australia)
- Leaning Tower of Pisa (Italy)
- Taj Mahal (India)
- Chichén Itzá (Mexico)
- Machu Picchu (Peru)
- Great Zimbabwe (Africa)
- Colosseum (Italy)
- CN Tower (Canada)
- Easter Island Statues (Chile)
- Hagia Sophia (Turkey)
- The Pyramids of Giza (Egypt)
- Tower of London (England)
Materials: Construction paper, chenille stems, toothpicks, cardboard tubes, paper clips, index cards, marshmallows, aluminum foil, tape, LEGOs and markers
