As we move into the 2020-21 Destination Imagination tournament season, we have some important information to share regarding virtual Instant Challenge and Improv Unknowns.
All virtual Instant Challenges and Improv Unknowns (Improv teams only) will be made available on our Instant Challenge & Improv Unknowns webpage. You can access that page here or through the Team Challenges menu on our homepage.
Your team must follow and only participate in the virtual Instant Challenge and Improv Unknowns (if participating in the Improv Challenge) your Affiliate selected. The Instant Challenge and Improv Unknowns release dates and submission deadlines are listed below. If you’re unsure of your team’s Instant Challenge and Improv Unknowns release dates, please contact your Regional, Affiliate or Tournament Director. You can locate your Affiliate’s contact information here.
Instant Challenge Release Dates & Submission Deadlines
- Instant Challenge Release 1: January 15 at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time with a deadline of January 18 at 11:59 p.m. your local tournament time
- Instant Challenge Release 2: February 5 at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time with a deadline of February 8 at 11:59 p.m. your local tournament time
- Instant Challenge Release 3: March 5 at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time with a deadline of March 8 at 11:59 p.m. your local tournament time
Improv Unknowns Release Dates & Submission Deadlines
- Improv Unknowns Release 1: January 22 at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time with a deadline of January 25 at 11:59 p.m. your local tournament time
- Improv Unknowns Release 2: February 12 at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time with a deadline of February 15 at 11:59 p.m. your local tournament time
- Improv Unknowns Release 3: March 12 at 3:00 a.m. Eastern Time with a deadline of March 15 at 11:59 p.m. your local tournament time
All Instant Challenges and Improv Unknowns will be released at 3 a.m. Eastern Time on their scheduled day. The Team Manager of record must submit all team information through the Resource Area.
