Looking for a winter activity that brings creativity, teamwork, and innovation to the forefront? Look no further! Destination Imagination’s Team Film Challenge is back this January, offering students from elementary through university levels an exciting opportunity to create, collaborate, and captivate through filmmaking.

But this challenge isn’t just about making movies. It’s about turning imagination into action. With the power of teamwork and storytelling, students will engage in an 8-week journey filled with creative problem-solving, innovation, and hands-on learning.

At the heart of the Team Film Challenge is the belief that collaboration fuels creativity. Students will work together to write, film, and edit a short film (8 minutes or less), allowing them to develop crucial skills in a fun, interactive environment. Here’s what sets this experience apart:

  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Students will learn to communicate effectively, take on leadership roles, and share responsibilities while bringing their collective vision to life.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Each team’s film will be based on a unique challenge, pushing participants to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Filmmaking Fundamentals: Teams will explore the basics of storytelling, cinematography, sound design, and editing—whether they’re new to filmmaking or passionate about it.
  • Flexible & Impactful: With a short 8-week window, the challenge fits into busy schedules while still delivering a rewarding and educational experience.

The best part? You don’t need any high-end equipment to participate—teams can film using smartphones or tablets, making this a challenge that’s accessible for everyone.
