If you’ve ever dreamed of running the TCS New York City Marathon, don’t miss your chance to join the world’s largest marathon! We are thrilled to announce that Destination Imagination of New York has joined the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon as an Official Charity Partner, and on Sunday, November 6, they invite you to join more than 50,000 runners from across the globe as they run 26.2 miles across five boroughs—all while raising money to support Destination Imagination of New York’s programming!
New York Road Runners (NYRR)—the marathon’s presenting organization—has a long-standing history of partnering with both local and national nonprofits to raise valuable funds through charity races. As a Charity Partner of the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon, Destination Imagination of New York has been granted five marathon entries. In addition to receiving guaranteed marathon entry, Destination Imagination of New York team runners will receive an exclusive team shirt and a customized thank you gift from our local participants. Destination Imagination of New York will also cover the race registration fees for all its runners.
Running with a Charity Partner is one of the only ways to enter the TCS New York City Marathon without having a qualifying time or winning a lottery number. Team runners do not have to be affiliated with Destination Imagination, so we encourage you to share this opportunity with all the runners in your life!
NYRR requires each runner to raise $2,500 for their charity team. Destination Imagination of New York will offer fundraising platforms and tools (including a team and personal haku page) and promotion on their social media and at their New York State events. All funds raised from the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon will be put towards sustaining and growing the Destination Imagination of New York program.
